For a team that spends most of its time behind the scenes, it means a lot to have the work recognized by our colleagues in the industry. But more than anything, it gives us a chance to recognize the people and relationships that make that work possible.
There are the members of our team loading trucks, building rooms, running shows, troubleshooting problems, and making sure the details are covered. There are the clients who call us back year after year. There are agency partners, venues, vendors, freelancers, and industry friends who trust us to work alongside their teams.
Those relationships have always mattered to us, and we share this recognition with them.
Sound Ideas has grown from a small Texas audio company into a full-service Dallas AV production company, but we have never wanted growth to come at the expense of the personal side of the business. We still believe in knowing the people we work with, being honest about what an event needs, and showing up ready to do our part well.
Whether our team is providing audio for a conference, lighting a ballroom, supporting a gala, or helping another production team pull off a show, that is the standard we try to bring to every event.
Being recognized in both sound and lighting is a special honor and reflects the range of work our crew takes on every day.
Hometown Hero voting is now open at the regional level through October 2, 2026.
Sound Ideas is a finalist for the Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year recognition as well as the Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year recognition.
The regional vote is the next step in the process. Companies that advance will move on to the national Parnelli Awards ballot later this year.
