About the Event

Creating a Memorable Evening of Fundraising and Fellowship at the Dallas Arboretum

Sound Ideas partnered with ChristianWorks for Children to deliver exceptional AV and scenic solutions for the 33rd Annual “Celebrate the Children” Dinner and Auction, held at a new venue, the Dallas Arboretum. This flagship fundraiser, attended by over 500 guests, featured an evening of fellowship, fundraising, and a private concert by America’s Got Talent finalists Sons of Serendip. Despite logistical challenges, including a limited load-in window and last-minute adjustments, our team ensured the event was a seamless success, creating a stunning and immersive experience for all.

Services Provided

1. Audio and Visual Solutions

  • Designed a comprehensive sound system to span the Arboretum’s garden, ensuring clear audio for speeches, auctions, and the live performance.
  • Installed six 80-86” monitors across the venue, paired with IMAG (Image Magnification) using robotic and broadcast cameras to provide all guests with clear views of the stage and performers.

2. Custom Lighting Design

  • Highlighted the beauty of the garden and venue architecture with custom lighting, enhancing the evening’s ambiance and reflecting the event’s celebratory tone.

3. Stage Modifications

  • Constructed an extended stage to improve visibility for guests after the Arboretum added plants that partially obstructed the view, ensuring all attendees could enjoy the performance and program.

4. Artist Support

  • Sourced backline equipment for Sons of Serendip, facilitating a show-stopping performance that captivated the audience.

Efficient Load-In and Setup

  • Navigated a tight three-hour load-in window after the venue closed to the public, executing a flawless setup and ensuring all AV elements were ready for the event.
