About The Event
Sound Ideas partnered with the Wylie ISD Education Foundation’s annual Boots ‘N BBQ fundraiser on March 28th at the Plano Event Center. This community-centered event brings together supporters, educators, and local leaders for an evening dedicated to investing in Wylie ISD students and schools. We’ve had the honor of partnering with the Wylie ISD Education Foundation on Boots ‘N BBQ for nearly a decade, supporting the event as it has continued to grow and helping bring the community together in support of local students and educators.
Services Provided
Audio
- Provided dedicated audio support for presentations, announcements, and live program elements.
Video & Projection
- Managed two 20-foot projection screens, two flown delay screens, and graphics playback to ensure every guest had a clear view of presentations, videos, and event content.
Recording
- Recorded the event to provide high-quality video for post-event use.
Lighting
- Implemented event lighting design and operated robotic lighting to elevate the space and highlight key moments throughout the evening.
Camera Support
- Delivered roaming wireless camera coverage with IMAG (Image Magnification) to capture memorable moments and ensure every guest had a clear view of the stage throughout the venue.
Production Management
- Served as technical director, overseeing event logistics, crew coordination, and technical execution from load-in through strike.

Boots ‘N BBQ is more than a fundraiser. It’s a night when the community rallies to support local schools and educators. Supporting events like Boots ‘N BBQ allows us to stay connected to the community, and year after year, we’re grateful to be a small part of the impact the Wylie ISD Education Foundation has throughout the district.
